Dr. Parveen Dhillon

RFM Representative - Kern Chapter

Parveen Dhillon is a psychiatry resident at the UCLA-Kern Psychiatry Residency Program. She grew up in Augusta, Georgia but has always dreamed of returning to her birth state of California and was especially pleased to have matched in Bakersfield given the great need for mental health care in the community. She completed a dual degree at The University of Georgia, obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and her Master’s degree in Public Health. She then went on to graduate with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. She enjoyed studying there as it allowed her to serve as co-director for Salybia Mission Project, an organization that provides health care to the medically underserved populations in Dominica. Her hobbies include Zumba, watching college football, making Oreo truffles, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Parveen first became involved with CCPS during her intern year and has enjoyed learning more about the organization and its contributions to the mental health community. She is greatly looking forward to serving as a CCPS representative and continuing to serve as a mental health advocate in Central California.
