Dear CCPS Member,
On behalf of CCPS-council I would like to thank you for your hard work and commitment to providing care to patients with mental health needs during the COVID pandemic. I also thank you for your continued trust and support of CCPS, the advocacy team, and APA. It is my pleasure to inform you that after several years of division between California’s five district branches in providing advocacy, CCPS- council members voted with absolute majority to join the California State Association of Psychiatrists (CSAP). This will unite all the five district branches allowing a united advocacy voice in Sacramento to advocate for our patients and profession efficiently and effectively. By CCPS Joining CSAP, the CCPS members will also benefit from a reduced membership dues starting 2023.
Following two years of CCPS meeting virtually, I am excited to announce that the 2022 Annual Meeting, September 16th-18th, is going to be held in person in Fresno. It will be great to see all of you in person and have a chance to reconnect and share our experiences together and empower CCPS in its continued mission of helping our community.
Supporting educational needs and scholar activities of our residents, fellows and medical students has always been a top priority for the CCPS annual CME meetings, and CCPS continues to provide excellent opportunities for RFM to participate in case vignettes competition and poster presentations. Trainees who participate will also have the opportunity to receive mentorship and support from valued CCPS mentors.
I look forward to welcome you all to the 2022 CCPS CME annual meeting. Please do not hesitate to contact myself or any of your representatives in CCPS if you have any questions or concerns. Please visit www.cencalpsych.org for more information.
Sincerely,
Abdolreza Saadabadi, MD
